Plymouth Works Plus is
a
European
Social
Fund (ESF) and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funded
project.
The organisations working together to provide
this support are A4e, The
NLC, Pluss & RITE Associates Ltd.
Our Team consists of trained advisors,
consultants, employment
engagement advisors and trainers.
What we
do:
Plymouth
Works Plus are here to
help improve the employability of unemployed people.
We do this by tackling
barriers to work faced by people with disabilities or health
conditions, lone
parents, people aged 50+, ethnic
minorities, those with no or
low
qualificatioWns and anyone over 16 not in education, employment or
training.
How we do
this:
We ask
the people we work with
three simple questions:
1. What do you
want
to do? 2. What is stopping
you? 3.
What can we both do to get you where you
want to be?
Our Activities:
Engage
with the local community.
Assess and identify any barriers to
employment or
progression.
Help to
overcome any barriers while
ensuring participants have the necessary skills to move into
sustainable employment.
Assist with the transition into work;
via means of
job search, self employment advice, work experience and training.
A recruitment team that source
vacancies for you.
Post employment support which will
include ongoing
mentoring.
Who
can join:
Plymouth residents that are aged
between 16 and 65
years of age, not in education, employment or training.
JSA claimants working less
than 16 (paid) hours a week & people working less than 8(paid) hours a
week & not
claiming JSA.
